5 answersWhat does the tracker record?
Page and route views, referrer, technical request fields, the events you send, clicks, scroll, pointer movement and JavaScript errors. Replay adds a DOM stream of the session.
Is this a GA4 replacement?
It covers the same core reports and adds session replay, heatmaps, error tracking and SQL. The migration path depends on which events you already send.
Can I follow one visitor across sessions?
Within a site, yes, through the per-site visitor identifier. Not across your other sites, and not across sites you do not own.
Do you filter bots?
A challenge layer runs before the payload is accepted. Traffic that fails it is excluded from the reports.
Is there a real-time view?
Yes. A live board of sessions and events for the last minutes, filterable per project.
Install
4 answersWhere does the snippet go?
In the head of every page, or through your tag manager. It loads asynchronously and does not block rendering.
What is the edge proxy?
A worker on your own domain that forwards collection requests to us. The request stays first-party in the URL.
Can I send events from a server?
Yes. The server-side feed accepts signed event batches, so orders and backend errors can be reported without a browser.
Does a single-page app need extra work?
Route changes have to be reported. The snippet exposes a call for that and the framework integrations wrap it.
Data
2 answersDo you store personal data?
The engine stores a per-site visitor identifier and traffic fingerprints. It does not require a name, email or billing identity from you. Text that appears in a recorded page is governed by your masking rules.
How long is data kept?
The retention window follows the plan and is listed in the plan table. Replay streams follow a separate window.
